About the event
Theodate Pope Riddle (1867-1946) She was one of the first American women architects and a survivor of the sinking of the RMS Lusitania. Her designs include Hill-Stead, the family Connecticut estate which is now a museum, the Avon Old Farms, Westover School, and, most famously, the 1920 reconstruction of the birthplace in New York City of former President Theodore Roosevelt. Dearest of Geniuses is the first definitive biography on Riddle who has been called one of the ten most distinguished American women of the 20th century.
