Join us for our fifth annual garden tea supporting preservation of the Mather Homestead and property. We will be joined by Fred Landman of Sleepy Cat Farm in Greenwich who will take us on a tour of the property he created as “a garden of which the house could be proud.”

About the event
More about Fred Landman and Sleepy Cat Farm, Greenwich.
In 1994, Fred Landman purchased a Georgian Revival home offering him a clean slate upon which he built Sleepy Cat Farm. Landman worked with Greenwich architect Charles Hilton and noted landscape architect Charles J. Stick to create a “a garden of which the house could be proud of.” Over the 13.5 acres and 30 years, while keeping in mind the concept of creating harmony between the house and garden, he sought to draw inspiration from his travels throughout Europe and Asia. Through a series of garden rooms laid out upon an undulating landscape with hills, rocks, and lawns, streams, steps, and statues, pavilions and bridges, all surrounded by flowers, there can be found unexpected beauty at every turn.
